Thin Film Super-capacitor energy storage development thru colaboration with University of the Philippines

the goals are as follows

The goal is to develop a solar panel with a thinfilm battery energy storage integrated into the back of the solar panel, secondly to either replace the TPT backing used at this time or modify its construction, we will attempt to construct a battery for night-time use and to balance the out-put of the solar panel to accomodate for voltage fluctuations due to changing irradiance.
for smaller panels up to 150 watts we will target 12V output att 50 Ah
for larger panels we will target 24V at 100 Ah
storage depends on size of panel area and output wattage of panel, panel voltage and shall be interconnected with panel connection wires after the diodes, The method of interconnection shall determine the combined output voltage, either in parallel or series to match the input voltage of the Inverter or Charge controller depending the type of system the panel is used for off-grid or Hybrid.

As the development of super-cap energy storage progresses with the discovery of graphene and carbon based nanostructures capable of transfering and storing electrons at a high rate efficently the development of applications are endless from transportation to energy managment the outlook for renewables is great.
Over the past decade lith-ion batteries have opened the door for the development of energy storage for transportation and solar applications to smart-phone’s, although lithium is a rare and costly material to use for the manufacturing of these wonderful energy storage devices a new discovery by the Inventor of the lith-ion battery is the development of new energy storage device that promises to be 5 times better and capable of instantanious charging without the fear of explosions or fire as seen with the lith-ion battery.
To further establish this new technology the UP dillman thin film super cap project has developed a nano structure energy storage device that promises to potentally revelotionize the solar industry by making it possible to generate and store energy for later use at the solar panel , removing the need for secondary “dirty” batteries that wearout quickly and have fewer cycle lifespan.
